📄️ Placing and Managing Orders
The Orders page is where you select meals for your customers for the coming week. Think of it as filling in a meal form for everyone in your care — one page, one week, all customers at once.
📄️ Order units
An order unit is a group that receives meals together — for example a school class, a hospital ward, a company department, or a care home floor. Each order unit has its own list of customers, its own delivery address, and its own settings for when and how meals are ordered.
📄️ Order book
The order book is a summary of all confirmed orders for a selected date. It is designed for kitchen staff and delivery coordinators who need to see exactly what has been ordered and what needs to be prepared or delivered.
📄️ Complaints
The complaints section is where you record and manage issues raised by customers about their orders — for example, a wrong meal, a missing item, food that arrived cold, or a late delivery.
📄️ QR codes
QR codes in CateringCare are used to speed up ingredient handling. You print barcodes for your ingredients and attach them to storage containers or shelves. Staff can then scan items quickly instead of typing names — which is faster and reduces errors.
