Production report
The production report tells your kitchen exactly what to prepare on a given day. It summarises all confirmed orders into a clear list of quantities — how many portions of each meal are needed, broken down by category and delivery area.
What the report shows
- Total portions per meal — the number of servings the kitchen needs to prepare
- Breakdown by delivery point — how many portions go to each customer or order unit
- Allergen information — highlighted on meals that contain common allergens
- Special requirements — any custom requests noted on individual orders
- Ingredient quantities — how much of each ingredient is needed in total (optional)
Generating the report
Go to Reports → Production report.
- Select the date you want to produce for
- Select the catering service (if you manage more than one kitchen)
- Optionally filter by:
- Menu category (e.g. only show main courses)
- Order unit (e.g. only show orders for Floor 3)
- Dietary type (e.g. only show vegetarian orders)
The report loads automatically.
Reading the report
The report is laid out as a table:
| Meal | Total | Floor 1 | Floor 2 | Takeaway |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Salmon | 28 | 12 | 10 | 6 |
| Chicken | 34 | 15 | 14 | 5 |
| Vegetarian | 8 | 4 | 3 | 1 |
Each row is one meal. The columns show the total and the breakdown by delivery point. This tells the kitchen how many to cook in total, and the packing team how to split them.
Meals with allergens are marked with a coloured icon. Hover over the icon to see which allergens.
Printing options
The production report offers several print formats — click the print icon and select one:
- Production list — a concise list for the kitchen with total quantities per meal
- Delivery manifest — a list organised by delivery stop, for the packing and delivery team
- Portion labels — individual labels to attach to meal containers, including allergen warnings
- Daily menu — a formatted version of the day's menu for posting in a dining area
- Preparation descriptions — step-by-step instructions for each meal (from the recipe)

Scheduled reports
Some organisations set up the production report to be automatically generated and emailed to the kitchen team each morning. Ask your administrator if this is configured for your organisation.
Using the production report with the kitchen display
The production report and the Kitchen display show the same information in different formats:
- The production report is a printable document
- The kitchen display is an interactive screen where staff mark items as done
Use whichever works best for your kitchen's workflow — many teams print the report in the morning and use the kitchen display to update progress during the day.
