Temperature sensors

If your kitchen has connected temperature sensors (in fridges, freezers, or storage rooms), CateringCare can display their readings in real time and alert you if a temperature goes outside the safe range.

What you see on the dashboard

Go to E-Control → Temperature sensors.

The dashboard shows all connected sensors with:

  • Current temperature for each sensor
  • Location (e.g. "Walk-in fridge", "Freezer 2")
  • A colour indicator: green (safe), yellow (warning), red (danger)
  • A graph of temperature over the last 24 hours

Alerts

If a sensor reads outside the safe range for more than a few minutes, the system sends an alert. This could mean:

  • A fridge door was left open
  • A freezer is malfunctioning
  • Food is at risk of spoiling

Respond to alerts quickly — food safety may be at risk.

Setting up sensors

Temperature sensors are connected by your system administrator under Administration → Temperature sensors. Once configured, they appear automatically on this dashboard.
