Wasted food

The wasted food section is where kitchen staff log food that had to be thrown away during the day. Recording this in real time — not at the end of the week — gives you accurate data on where food is being wasted and why.

What counts as wasted food?

Any food that was prepared or thawed but not served to customers:

  • Overproduced meals (cooked too many portions)
  • Spoiled ingredients discovered in the kitchen
  • Meals returned by customers
  • Food that was dropped or contaminated

Recording waste

Go to E-Control → Wasted food.

Click + Record waste and fill in:

  • The date (defaults to today)
  • The meal or ingredient that was wasted
  • The quantity wasted
  • The reason (overproduction, spoilage, customer return, etc.)

Click Save.

Reviewing waste history

The history view shows all recorded waste entries. You can filter by date range, meal type, or reason to spot patterns.

If waste for a specific meal is consistently high, it may indicate that too many portions are being cooked — the planned quantities in the Kitchen display should be adjusted.
