Ordering settings
Ordering settings control the rules around when and how customers (or staff) can place and change orders. Getting these right ensures your kitchen has enough time to prepare and that late changes do not cause problems.
Key settings
- Order deadline — how many days/hours before a meal is served must orders be placed. For example, orders for Monday lunch must be placed by Friday at noon.
- Change deadline — how many hours before a meal can an existing order be changed or cancelled
- Ordering days — which days of the week ordering is allowed (for example, you might not accept orders on weekends)
- Advance ordering limit — how many weeks in advance customers can book meals
Updating ordering settings
Go to Administration → Ordering settings.
Changes take effect immediately. Customers will see the updated rules the next time they try to place an order.
warning
Changing deadlines retroactively (for a week that already has open orders) may affect orders already placed. Review current orders before making changes.
